Take The Chance Week #7

Take The Chance Week #7

Studying: Never Changing Who I Am, and standing up for the wrong.

Hey ya'll! It's week number (LUCKY) 7!!!!

So let's do something awesome!!!

THOUGH OF THE DAY: Are you ever peer pressured to be different than you are?
It' doesn't matter how old you are- have you? it can happen to everybody old or young. (ANSWER THE QUESTION!!!) :P

What would happen if you took the chance and did something different? What if you didn't do what everybody else was doing, because (going back to Week 1 sorta) you knew it was wrong? Just because it's the latest fad, does that mean you have to do it too?

So I'm going to share, 2 touching songs that relate to this week. This first one is HOME by PHILIP PHILLIPS.

if it doesn't work, because it NEVER does (stupid Blogger) then go look it up on Google and Jango or something.

Philip Phillips song
writer of HOME

LYRICS: Hold on, to me as we go.
As we roll down this unfamiliar road.
And although this wave is stringing us along.
Just know you’re not alone,
Cause I’m going to make this place your home.

Settle down, it'll all be clear.
Don't pay no mind to the demons,
They fill you with fear.
The trouble it might drag you down.
If you get lost, you can always be found.

Just know you’re not alone,
Cause I’m going to make this place your home.

Settle down, it'll all be clear.
Don't pay no mind to the demons,

They fill you with fear.
The trouble it might drag you down.
If you get lost, you can always be found.

Just know you’re not alone,
Cause I’m going to make this place your home.

Settle down, it'll all be clear.
Don't pay no mind to the demons.
They fill you with fear.
The trouble it might drag you down,
If you get lost you can always be found.

just know you're not alone,
Cause I'm gonna make this place your home.

So this song means being in an unfamiliar place, you don't know what to do. But as long as you're together you're all good. This relates to the topic because you're never alone. Don't be afraid to stand up for exactly what you want to do, and by doing this you're leading other people to not do it as well. (Whatever it is, drugs, violence, etc). Or just causal things like bullying or the latest fads that God may not approve of.

Next one is IT'S TIME by IMAGINE DRAGONS.

LYRICS:
So this is what you meant
When you said that you were spent?
And now its time to build from the bottom of the pit right to the top
Don’t hold back
Packing my bags and giving the Academy a rain check

I don’t ever wanna let you down
I don’t ever wanna leave this town
‘Cause after all this city never sleeps at night

Chorus
It’s time to begin, isn’t it?
I get a little bit bigger but then I’ll admit
I’m just the same as I was
Now don’t you understand?
(That) I’m never changing who I am

So this is where you fell
And I am left to sell
The path to Heaven runs through miles of clouded Hell right to the top
Don’t look back
Turning to rags and giving the commodities a rain check

I don’t ever wanna let you down
I don’t ever wanna leave this town
‘Cause after all this city never sleeps at night

Chorus
Repeat

This road never looked so lonely
This house doesn’t burn down slowly
To ashes!
To ashes!

Chorus

Repeat

I CAN'T UPLOAD THIS ONE BUT GOOGLE IT ON YOUTUBE OR SOMETHING. LYRICS CUZ THE MUSIC VIDEO TOTALLY RUINS THE SONG.

This video shows the wonderful world we have- never doubt that this creation was made by God for you. Your actions affect this- and everybody around you.

So TAKE THE CHANCE and see what happens. You never know what may happen. ;)

Take the Chance Week #4

TAKE THE CHANCE WEEK #4

Hey everybody! It's me- Amy! I know I haven't been posting, and it's entirely MY FAULT. But I've been so caught up in the Holidays: Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Which reminds me....This weeks theme? Don't let Christmas pass you by.

HEY! WELCOME BACK TO TAKE THE CHANCE WEEK 4! This week we are doing a theme on 'Don't Let christmas pass you by'. in honor of the season, of course. i hope this message carries on to the rest of your week. lets do a little poem:

 When you Take the Chance
Things May Happen
The words take affect like a dove
You Never knew could have
People who can't love, learn how to love
What happens when you start to care?
Stop the bullying, the pushing the shoves
And open up your heart, and really SHARE

A little inspirational message. On with our actual thing.

THINK ABOUT IT:
I really want you to look at this, seeing as I spent half an hour on it,
but really look at it and see if this applies to YOU.
The picture above applies to a lot of people. Jesus is only 20% of what you think of Christmas and Presents are a HUGE part of it! (Including other items like a Christmas Tree or decorations.) The Needy people like Operation Christmas Child is only maybe 20% (maybe larger) and the kids are a big part of it too. What happened to this era?

Before you get too comfortable, this is going to be a short week. I want you to think about that. Here's the story lesson:

God created us. Out of molecules and atoms and stuff. We can call it STUFF. And he loved us SO much- he BECAME  STUFF! He became human, he became the same stuff that makes up our iPhones, our own hand or your car. So yes, God does care about your iPhone, because he cares about STUFF. And he sent his son to die for us- the BIGGEST present of all! TO US. FOR US. And thats the ultimate sacrifice. And so, what I'm trying to say is you don't need to make excuses to God. Don't say, "Well I got mad at so and so because..." No. Don't do that. He knows, he loved us SO much, he literally, became STUFF. He went down from being Almight God who rules everything to become STUFF. Imagine how complex your body is though. God made you. You've got a heart, a soul, fingers and body made of really awesome bones. Now- think about your iPads and iPods. Scientists could NEVER make something THAT complex. And, your human eye sees with 576 Mega pixels or something like that. iPhones only have like 8. How cool is that? A computer could never generate data like that and be able to see through the camera or anything that fast. It would take A LONG TIME. So- don't let this Christmas pass you by. All the stress from trying to buy the perfect presents for loved ones, or working extra for a little more money to make your family happy- remember that this holiday is supposed to be happy. DON'T FORGET. I'll be back next week. So, take this lesson and see how you could change your week from it. don't forget to: WHAT IF YOU....TAKE THE CHANCE?

I got my iPod!!!

Random picture I thought I'd attach
don't ask why:)
Yeah! Oh yeah! I got my iPod actually in October but I haven't been posting in awhile, so I thought you guys would like to know. And now, what's weird is that at school, now everybody is jealous of ME!!! I know right? FUNNY!!!! I really like instagram a lot like Blogger, you guys should check it out. :P *Peace out

RACCOON IN THE BARN!

Omigosh! There was a raccoon in our barn last night! So my sister and I, we get dropped off by our friend (we were at her house for the day) and I ask my sister if she'll come out and take care of the animals with me. It was my week to do the animals chores. (We trade off weeks). So, we go in there singing and really giggly and stuff like that and we walk in the Milkroom. (The cats sleep and eat in there.)

So I fill up the cat food thinking that's weird! It's empty AGAIN! Jeez, how come the cats always eat so much nowadays? And another thing like Where are the cats anyways? They always come out to greet us. Odd.

I pick up their water dishes and go outside the barn to dump them. I fill them up with the pump and then I come back and almost drop the water dishes. I looked up above where the cats sleep and look out the window and there was a HUGE raccoon up there! I almost screamed. My sister was poking her fingers at the chickens, laughing. I backed slowly out of the room and told her to back out of the barn.

She was like "Why?" and I was like, "Don't Question my motives!!!" So when we got out of the barn (it was pitch dark) I considered turning off the lights but I decided to leave everything as it was. "RUN!" I told my sister and we took off running for the house.

When we got inside I got my dad who was watching a move (The Blind Side to be exact) and told him there was a raccoon in the barn. "Who let it in?" He asked first. I shrugged. "I don't know. It was just in there." And then here's how the convo when:

Dad: Someone must have let it in. It wouldn't go in through the dog area- they would rip it too shreds.

Me: Um...I don't know how it got in. Can you go shoot it now? It's huge- like as big as a big furry rug or something!

Dad: It could get in through the door. Did you leave the barn door open this morning?

Me: Um...no?

Dad: It can't get in anywhere else. You left it open this morning.

Me: I give up! I didn't go out to do the animals this morning okay?

Dad: Great! So it's been in there since YESTERDAY night!

Me: IDK! Can you just go get it PLEASE?

So of course, Dad made me go with him to confront a raccoon. My sister volunteered to come. So when we got out there the raccoon was still up there, climbing on the wall and it had it's face burried in a box. "What's it doing?" I asked. "Hiding." My dad said grimly. "Shoot it fast!" I said covering my eyes. Dad rolled his eyes. "This is just great. I can't shoot something inside...how are we going to get it out of here?" He grabbed the shovel and poked at the raccoon experimentally. I cringed.

"Would you rather put the dogs back in their pen or get the raccoon down by yourself?" Dad asked me. Getting the dogs back in the pen would be hard, but the raccoon was huge and pretty scary so I chose Option One.

So dad let the dogs out and as stupid as they are, they ran outside to play with one another. My sis stiffled a laugh. "So much for the dogs getting the 'coon." "That's not nice." I said smiling, because it was kind of funny. Dad tried to call them back but they were long gone. "It's pretty funny." He admitted, "Stupid dogs."

So Dad went up there and smacked the raccoon lightly with his shovel .Then he turned it around so he'd just use the stick end and poked at it, until it jumped down from the top of the roof. I panicked! It was SCARY not to mention gigantic!!! So I vaulted over the dog pen door and locked myself in. I prayed the raccoon wouldn't leap over the door as well and run straight into me. My sister grabbed a board out of last minute hastiness and held it infront of her. Not much cover, but better then nothing.

The raccoon thankfully ran out the barn the correct way. The dogs watched it go, like "Look at how fast that thing runs!" I was like GET IT!!!! But they just watched it go. After that it was a matter of getting the dogs back in the pen.

And here I am, I have to go clean up the Barn from the mess the raccoon made. Seeing as it is my fault that it came in the barn in the first place. I pray it isn't there- if it is, either I will
1) Runaway screaming
2) Grab the gun we keep in a hidden place
3) Take a picture and upload it later
4) All of the above

PRAY FOR ME!

Take the Chance Week #3

Take the Chance Week #3

Hey guys! I'm really sorry I didn't have this on time! In a summary, my life has been C-R-8-Z! (Sound that out if it doesn't make sense to you, it might help). :) Anyways, here is week 3. Sorry it's late!

Hi! Hola and welcome TO TAKE THE CHANCE WEEK 3! IF YOU'RE NEW, AND DON'T KNOW WHAT TAKE THE CHANCE IS, that would be yours truly.  It's basically me, writing in a blog nobody reads (if you do, i really would like some comments so I don't feel like I'm writing to a ghost), and I'm telling ______________ (YOU) to have a __________________(positive) influence on your _____________ (Week). I thought i would do a fill 'n the blank right there. Anyways, on to more F-U-N!

THESE R A COUPLE OF PICTURES I WANTED TO SHARE:

I want you to look at each and every one of them, and think about what they mean, and how it relates to your life: what you are going to do, are already did do. Okay, go look!
If you guessed: Choices, chances and changes for my life
you are semi correct. Partial credit. You just read it. It means
basically that you need to: STEP UP UR ACT CUPCAKE!
Yeah, I know- harsh right?
Well your supposed to have a pos. attitude so-
BE HAPPY!
I'm just going to say before I continue to the next picture: I'm REALLY sarcastic and ironic. So if I say something that hurts your feelings..sorry. I'm really not being mean, it's just the way I am.
This picture is just adorable. Don't you think?
I believe this picture would represent, friendship, like getting over if someone is African American, talks funny, Asian, look's weird...I don't care! This shows "I'm proud to know this person!" And you SHOULD BE!
I hope I don't really have to explain this one.
I mean it's right in the picture...Unless you're blind
I can't relate.
So that wraps up the pictures. I have got a little story now, so grab your stuffies and carry your iPad to bed with you. This might be boring enough to make you fall asleep- you're parents will thank me, when you get to bed on time.

THE SELFISH KID AND HIS EGO, PLUS WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM

Once upon a time, there was a really selfish kid. He never shared anything. When Billy Watson asked to borrow his baseball bat because he lost his and was late for his practice, Jonah (that was the selfish kid's name) said, "No way dude! Now that I think about it, I want to go outside and play with my bat. Sorry man, but it's in use at the moment." Billy walked away and later got yelled at by his Coach and kicked off the team. (Stars are the audience in the background saying things). *OUCH!*

When Lisa Marks asked if she could be his partner in Social Studies, because she was an unselfish kid and loved everybody-I think she was a hippie, Jonah yelled at her to go away because he was texting under the table. He didn't want her to see. She saw the phone and said, "Jonah...you could get in a lot of trouble for that! Quick put it away!" Jonah rolled his eyes, and then the teacher saw. Mrs. Nuceun glared at Jonah and he lost his phone for the rest of the day.
*SHOULD HAVE LISTENED TO HER JONAH!*

And another time, when his mom left her phone at the house and she despreately needed a phone to call her boss at the Bank. "Jonah! I need to call him, because I could be fired because I didn't call in! I'm going to be late!" Jonah had an iPhone 5, and he didn't really need to be playing Jetpack Joyride a the moment but he glared at his mom. "Mom, this is your problem. Don't drag me into this." Then he left for school, leaving his mom helpless. Needless to say, she lost her job. And since she was a single parent, Jonah's life went from being rich and spoiled to a family (a family of two) struggling to pay the bills, and Jonah getting odd jobs around town.

A lot of people noticed the change, but didn't say anything. Jonah was still stuck up, but not bragging about the latest things. Still a little haughty, but he seemed always so sad. His iPhone was taken away and sold so they could get more money- he did have that one cell phone that you have to flip the top open- he'd almost forgotten he had it...but he used it.

A couple months time, and all the kids at school realized the big difference with Jonah. Most kids, stayed away from him before, but it seemed he needed help. Billy Watson, who didn't particularly like the guy, was the first to ask what was wrong. Jonah didn't say anything, but he jotted something down on a paper, then went into his garage. When he came back he held a pro baseball bat in his hands. He taped the note to it and shoved it into Billy's hands. Billy read the note.

Sorry Billy. You can have it. I'm done now.

So yes, Billy accepted the bat, and stayed with Jonah the whole day. They hung out, but Jonah was distant. When they where shooting hoops in the front yard, Jonah stared out into space, blinking and didn't even notice when the basketball bounced off his head.
*WOW*

The next day Lisa Marks in Social Studies didn't have a partner for the World War I project. Jonah walked up too her. "Hi Lisa." Is all he said. Lisa beamed. It made her day, and they got an A+ on the project. Jonah, seemed odd thought as they worked on the project. He kept staring away and then nodding, "Huh? Oh yeah...sure." When she asked him if he wanted to work on it at his house. He had no clue why Lisa was at his house on Saturday night, but it worked out. They worked on the project and then they chatted. As she left...Lisa looked shyly at Jonah. "You've changed," She said as she started to get into the car. Her mom was up talking to Jonah's mom. "I like that Jonah. I like that a lot." She gave him a quick peck on the cheek then gave him a smile. Jonah's heart melted. He felt something, for the first time in ages. Lisa hopped into the black camaro and rolled down the window. "See you tomorrow Kelly!" (That was his last name: Kelly).
*OOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHH.....*

Jonah was at the bank, with his mom. They were going in to make a deposit. His mom adjusted her shoulder bag biting her lip. "It's weird, Jonah. Last time I was here....I got....F-f-f..." She didn't finish her sentence. She didn't need too. Instantly, Jonah felt terrible. Why had he not given his mom the _________ phone?! He glanced down at his shoes.

A banked came to help them. "How much Mrs. Kelly are we going to put into the account?" He obviously knew his mom well. Jonah didn't pay attention. He was watching an elderly women. She was trying to scoot her money across the counter, while juggling coffee, a walking stick and a big (ugly) purse.

Bundles of cash were slipping from her purse onto the counter, but the accountant was looking at his computer monitor. "That will be....$200.25 Miss McLean." Jonah knew she was overpaying by a lot. How did Banks work? Would they count the money? Should he be helping? The inner him, wanted to walk away and say that old lady had nothing to do with him. But he was STANDING RIGHT THERE- what if he took THE CHANCE?
*GASP- WHAT IF HE DID?* (DRAMATIC DUNH DUNH DUH MUSIC)

The accountant didn't pay attention to the extra hundreds. He just took them and printed out a receipt. "Your dues are paid, Miss Mclean." He slid the money to the drawer by his desk. But it didn't go in the drawer. It just lay there on the counter. Jonah had to act.

"She over paid!" He blurted out standing by Miss Mclean in an instant. The accountant blinked. "Young sir...quiet in the bank please..." Miss Mclean squinted at Jonah. "Eh? What's that?"

Jonah pointed to the cash. "I think you over paid by a couple hundreds." The accountant who's name tag said, "Hi my name is James Deermonet." "I'm sorry young sir, but that is impossible." Mr. Deermonet said. Jonah shook his head. "No, count the money. She owes two hundred dollars and like....twenty cents? She gave you like four hundred more!" Mr. Deermonet sighed. "Let me check..."

Miss Mclean patted Jonah. "Darling, I don't know you, but good things will happen to you if you're right. I need that money if I overpaid. More bills slipped out of her purse. Jonah picked them up, folded them and handed them back. "Thank you dearie." Miss Mclean smiled.

She had over paid and Jonah was a hero for the bank. The manager praised him and gave his mom back the job, because his kid was so bright and just saved them from being publicly embarrassed by an old woman with a ugly purse.

So, he took the Chance. What will you do?

What was the moral of this story kid? Yep...yep...okay. Night.

TAKE THE CHANCE WEEK #3= OUT.
*APPLAUSE*
Hey the story is over! No audience!

You have to take the GOOD with the BAD

iPod 5th version is out, and believe me I'm just as excited as all of you. But I'm like 99.9% sure my parents were going to let me get an iPod and I was 10 FREAKING $ away when Apple went and made the iPod 5 came out!!! NOW I HAVE TO HAVE THE 5th because well duh....it's blue, and has the known and beloved Siri on it! Also it has a 4 in display and a little hook strap! OH and get this: it has panarama. I'm just annoyed because I was so close. I hope they stop making iPods sort of. I mean like at least wait a couple years, so I can finally have mine before the iPod 6 comes out! Great gosh- what a nightmare! Ciao! ;D
