Take the Chance Week #3
Hey guys! I'm really sorry I didn't have this on time! In a summary, my life has been C-R-8-Z! (Sound that out if it doesn't make sense to you, it might help). :) Anyways, here is week 3. Sorry it's late!
Hi! Hola and welcome TO TAKE THE CHANCE WEEK 3! IF YOU'RE NEW, AND DON'T KNOW WHAT TAKE THE CHANCE IS, that would be yours truly. It's basically me, writing in a blog nobody reads (if you do, i really would like some comments so I don't feel like I'm writing to a ghost), and I'm telling ______________ (YOU) to have a __________________(positive) influence on your _____________ (Week). I thought i would do a fill 'n the blank right there. Anyways, on to more F-U-N!
THESE R A COUPLE OF PICTURES I WANTED TO SHARE:
I want you to look at each and every one of them, and think about what they mean, and how it relates to your life: what you are going to do, are already did do. Okay, go look!
I'm just going to say before I continue to the next picture: I'm REALLY sarcastic and ironic. So if I say something that hurts your feelings..sorry. I'm really not being mean, it's just the way I am.

| This picture is just adorable. Don't you think? |
I believe this picture would represent, friendship, like getting over if someone is African American, talks funny, Asian, look's weird...I don't care! This shows "I'm proud to know this person!" And you SHOULD BE!

| I hope I don't really have to explain this one. I mean it's right in the picture...Unless you're blind I can't relate. |
So that wraps up the pictures. I have got a little story now, so grab your stuffies and carry your iPad to bed with you. This might be boring enough to make you fall asleep- you're parents will thank me, when you get to bed on time.
THE SELFISH KID AND HIS EGO, PLUS WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM
Once upon a time, there was a really selfish kid. He never shared anything. When Billy Watson asked to borrow his baseball bat because he lost his and was late for his practice, Jonah (that was the selfish kid's name) said, "No way dude! Now that I think about it, I want to go outside and play with my bat. Sorry man, but it's in use at the moment." Billy walked away and later got yelled at by his Coach and kicked off the team. (Stars are the audience in the background saying things). *OUCH!*
When Lisa Marks asked if she could be his partner in Social Studies, because she was an unselfish kid and loved everybody-I think she was a hippie, Jonah yelled at her to go away because he was texting under the table. He didn't want her to see. She saw the phone and said, "Jonah...you could get in a lot of trouble for that! Quick put it away!" Jonah rolled his eyes, and then the teacher saw. Mrs. Nuceun glared at Jonah and he lost his phone for the rest of the day.
*SHOULD HAVE LISTENED TO HER JONAH!*
And another time, when his mom left her phone at the house and she despreately needed a phone to call her boss at the Bank. "Jonah! I need to call him, because I could be fired because I didn't call in! I'm going to be late!" Jonah had an iPhone 5, and he didn't really need to be playing Jetpack Joyride a the moment but he glared at his mom. "Mom, this is your problem. Don't drag me into this." Then he left for school, leaving his mom helpless. Needless to say, she lost her job. And since she was a single parent, Jonah's life went from being rich and spoiled to a family (a family of two) struggling to pay the bills, and Jonah getting odd jobs around town.
A lot of people noticed the change, but didn't say anything. Jonah was still stuck up, but not bragging about the latest things. Still a little haughty, but he seemed always so sad. His iPhone was taken away and sold so they could get more money- he did have that one cell phone that you have to flip the top open- he'd almost forgotten he had it...but he used it.
A couple months time, and all the kids at school realized the big difference with Jonah. Most kids, stayed away from him before, but it seemed he needed help. Billy Watson, who didn't particularly like the guy, was the first to ask what was wrong. Jonah didn't say anything, but he jotted something down on a paper, then went into his garage. When he came back he held a pro baseball bat in his hands. He taped the note to it and shoved it into Billy's hands. Billy read the note.
Sorry Billy. You can have it. I'm done now.
*WOW*
The next day Lisa Marks in Social Studies didn't have a partner for the World War I project. Jonah walked up too her. "Hi Lisa." Is all he said. Lisa beamed. It made her day, and they got an A+ on the project. Jonah, seemed odd thought as they worked on the project. He kept staring away and then nodding, "Huh? Oh yeah...sure." When she asked him if he wanted to work on it at his house. He had no clue why Lisa was at his house on Saturday night, but it worked out. They worked on the project and then they chatted. As she left...Lisa looked shyly at Jonah. "You've changed," She said as she started to get into the car. Her mom was up talking to Jonah's mom. "I like that Jonah. I like that a lot." She gave him a quick peck on the cheek then gave him a smile. Jonah's heart melted. He felt something, for the first time in ages. Lisa hopped into the black camaro and rolled down the window. "See you tomorrow Kelly!" (That was his last name: Kelly).
*OOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHH.....*
Jonah was at the bank, with his mom. They were going in to make a deposit. His mom adjusted her shoulder bag biting her lip. "It's weird, Jonah. Last time I was here....I got....F-f-f..." She didn't finish her sentence. She didn't need too. Instantly, Jonah felt terrible. Why had he not given his mom the _________ phone?! He glanced down at his shoes.
A banked came to help them. "How much Mrs. Kelly are we going to put into the account?" He obviously knew his mom well. Jonah didn't pay attention. He was watching an elderly women. She was trying to scoot her money across the counter, while juggling coffee, a walking stick and a big (ugly) purse.
Bundles of cash were slipping from her purse onto the counter, but the accountant was looking at his computer monitor. "That will be....$200.25 Miss McLean." Jonah knew she was overpaying by a lot. How did Banks work? Would they count the money? Should he be helping? The inner him, wanted to walk away and say that old lady had nothing to do with him. But he was STANDING RIGHT THERE- what if he took THE CHANCE?
*GASP- WHAT IF HE DID?* (DRAMATIC DUNH DUNH DUH MUSIC)
The accountant didn't pay attention to the extra hundreds. He just took them and printed out a receipt. "Your dues are paid, Miss Mclean." He slid the money to the drawer by his desk. But it didn't go in the drawer. It just lay there on the counter. Jonah had to act.
"She over paid!" He blurted out standing by Miss Mclean in an instant. The accountant blinked. "Young sir...quiet in the bank please..." Miss Mclean squinted at Jonah. "Eh? What's that?"
Jonah pointed to the cash. "I think you over paid by a couple hundreds." The accountant who's name tag said, "Hi my name is James Deermonet." "I'm sorry young sir, but that is impossible." Mr. Deermonet said. Jonah shook his head. "No, count the money. She owes two hundred dollars and like....twenty cents? She gave you like four hundred more!" Mr. Deermonet sighed. "Let me check..."
Miss Mclean patted Jonah. "Darling, I don't know you, but good things will happen to you if you're right. I need that money if I overpaid. More bills slipped out of her purse. Jonah picked them up, folded them and handed them back. "Thank you dearie." Miss Mclean smiled.
She had over paid and Jonah was a hero for the bank. The manager praised him and gave his mom back the job, because his kid was so bright and just saved them from being publicly embarrassed by an old woman with a ugly purse.
So, he took the Chance. What will you do?
What was the moral of this story kid? Yep...yep...okay. Night.
TAKE THE CHANCE WEEK #3= OUT.
*APPLAUSE*
